This evening, on the back of two impressive performances, in the Premier League, against Everton (a) and Chelsea (h), the Hammers have a great opportunity to progress to the round of the Carabao Cup.
After beating AFC Wimbledon in the last round, the Hammers were given a home tie against Macclesfield, a side that are bottom of League Two and who have taken just two points out of the twenty-seven available in the league.
It is a tie that we, here at Vital West Ham, believe we should win even if Manuel Pellegrini decides to rest several of his first-team squad.
However, we’re not counting our chickens just yet as we’re only too aware that cup football has a nasty habit of producing shock results.
But, with the kick-off looming large, we are now in a position to bring you the team-sheets.

Fingers crossed it’ll be the Hammers in the draw for the fourth round when the final whistle sounds.
