Hammers Match Zone

You Decide Whether West Ham Will Extend Their Unbeaten Run To Four Games

|

After what had been a period of concern, whereby West Ham United couldn’t buy a win, things have settled down in fine fashion just recently.

A fine 3-1 win, away to Everton, has been followed by a home draw against Chelsea (both fixtures being in the Premier League) and an 8-0 mauling of Macclesfield Town in the Carabao Cup.

Three fixtures and not a defeat in sight, the Hammers really are on a roll.

This Saturday, West Ham United welcome Manchester United, to the London Stadium, for a Premier League fixture, with the support hoping that Manuel Pellegrini can work his magic against an old foe of his.

In midweek, Manchester United were knocked out of the Carabao Cup, on penalties, by Derby County. This season, with Jose Mourinho looking to mount a Premier League title challenge, things haven’t gone well for the Portuguese manager.

Manchester United have been beaten at Brighton and could only draw at home with Wolverhampton Wanderers, two fixtures you’d expect them to win.

Throw into the mixer the strained relationship Mourinho is said to have with his record signing, Paul Pogba, and you get the feeling West Ham, if they play to their potential, could take the three points on offer.

Looking into the Vital West Ham crystal ball, I reckon the Hammers will win this one, by the odd goal in three but how do you see this game ending?
