Moyes Berates Hammers Poor Display

|

After making a huge effort to get to South Wales, after the inclement weather of the past few days, the travelling Hammer support witnessed a dire performance from their side.

Losing is acceptable if the effort and endeavour can`t be faulted, but against Swansea City, the Hammers were never at the races.

Following the 4-1 humiliation inflicted by the Welsh side, David Moyes had a few harsh but honest words, for the media, in his post-match interview, with Moyes remarking,

‘We played so bad. I couldn’t assess it, it was that poor.

‘The fans travelled through the snow to get here and we let them down badly. That was the poorest performance since I came here. I’m embarrassed.

‘We conceded from two corners and a penalty. We had no intensity in our play, we thought we could just stroll about.

‘We should have saved the first one, we should head the second one away and the third one is a corner and the fourth is a penalty.

‘We have to be much, much better. We have the players who can do it but getting them to perform is my job.’

Any repetition of what we witnessed at Swansea, in our remaining games, could have dire consequences when it comes to our Premier League status.
