At times like yesterday, when the Hammers dished up a shoddy performance when they could least afford to, it is appreciated when somebody stands up and speaks the truth.

Following the 4-1 defeat away to Swansea, a side that were in the bottom three before the kick-off, Mark Noble spoke to the media and had this to say,

‘It was a bad day at the office. We lost Winston Reid early and they then scored from that corner. Losing him shouldn’t shake us up, we are professionals. We weren’t good enough, end of. We didn’t turn up.

‘You can’t dwell on it. We will fight to the finish.

‘In this league results are so here and there you don’t know what will happen. Hopefully this is a little blip and we can push on, we have three home games coming up, the next month is important for us.

‘It will go to the wire. I can’t believe how many fans turned up today. It took us seven hours to get here yesterday in the coach. They saw a poor performance but we appreciate them.’

Thanks for the honesty Mark, it is appreciated.
