West Ham were extremely active in the transfer market this summer under the guidance of Manuel Pellegrini, splashing over £100m on a wealth of new additions to rejuvenate the squad.
Plenty of positives have been shown as a result thanks to the likes of Felipe Anderson, Issa Diop, Fabian Balbuena and Lukasz Fabianski, all of whom have quickly become important players in the squad, while there has also been shining moments for a number of other additions.
However, one signing that has been sub-par at best this season has been Jack Wilshere and the England international is set for further time on the sidelines after suffering a setback following his cameo against Newcastle at the weekend.
Wilshere has featured just five times in the Premier League for West Ham since signing on a free transfer from Arsenal and faces a stern fight to force his way back into the team when he returns to full fitness.
