West Ham’s Premier League campaign has been difficult so far, with the Hammers struggling to find consistency during their opening 14 matches.
However, Manuel Pellegrini’s side were handed a very tough start to the season and a more favourable run of fixtures lies ahead over the busy festive season – while they also managed to avoid other top-flight sides in the FA Cup third round draw.
Instead, the Hammers will host Garry Monk’s Birmingham City at the London Stadium in January in a tie that could be harder for the Premier League side than it looks on paper as the Blues have impressed so far this season.
Many West Ham fans took to social media to react to their FA Cup draw and the general consensus was positive as plenty looked forward to a game that gives the Hammers a good chance of advancing into the latter stages of the competition.
We have gathered some of their reactions below.
Love a game against Birmingham. Brings back good memories.

Ha ha Gold and Sullivan would love to get a win out of this one. I bet the Pardew shuffle would re-emerge if we did! pic.twitter.com/QcI7Pm9K48
