West Ham United fans have been reacting on social media after Lukasz Fabianski was named Pilka Nozna’s Footballer of the year.

Pilka Nozna’s Footballer of the year is one of the most prestigious awards in Polish football and is given to the player considered to have performed at a consistently high standard over the past 12 months.

The £7million summer arrival has also made a name for himself at the London Stadium since joining from Swansea, where his performances have returned four clean sheets in 24 games.

West Ham January target Krzysztof Piatek was also in the running for the award, after netting 34 goals since the start of 2018, along with former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who has kept 13 clean sheets in 25 games for Juventus so far this season.
