West Ham United club insider ExWHUemployee has given an update regarding Aaron Cresswell’s fitness ahead of Monday night’s clash with Liverpool, and it’s good news to these fans.

Cresswell missed the Irons’ last Premier League fixture when Manuel Pellegrini’s squad traveled to Molineux, with Arthur Masuaku filling his spot against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The DR Congo international has had a very off-on season at the London Stadium so far, displaying glimpses of his talents on the attack, but has often left fans sparse of ideas to what he offers in defence – never a good trait for a left-back.

As such, loads of fans were delighted when ExWHUemployee gave an update on Monday afternoon that Cresswell has overcome his minor hamstring injury and passed the club’s fitness test.

Samir Nasri is still set to sit out the Liverpool game with his minor calf problem and the likelihood of Marko Arnautovic featuring is not expected to be announced until the last minute.

The reason fans are delighted that Cresswell will likely feature is because the 29-year-old has averaged 1.7 tackles, 1.4 interceptions and 1.3 passes blocked per 90 minutes this season, according to WhoScored.
