With 13 games left for West Ham to play this season in the Premier League, all the Hammers can hope for is to stay up and be a top-flight team next season, but that might not have been the case if they’d have made a similar decision to what Everton did a few months back.
20/12/19 – West Ham are 15th, Everton are 16th after 17 games.
Since then, Everton appointed Carlo Ancelotti and West Ham hired David Moyes. West Ham are now in the relegation zone, and Everton are 5 points off of 4th place.
Amazing what happens when you show a bit of ambition.

One West Ham fan on Twitter has pointed out that back on December 20th the Hammers were one place ahead of Everton in the Premier League after 17 games. However, the Toffees brought in Carlo Ancelotti and the Hammers brought in David Moyes and now things have flipped for both clubs.
Everton are now fighting for a Champions League place at the top end of the table and the Irons are caught up in a relegation battle, something that could quite easily have been the opposite had West Ham brought in a higher calibre manager when they had the chance.
Should Moyes stay even if results don't improve?
Yes
No
You can read the Irons’ thoughts on the Everton comparison here:
I think the Watford game showed that, Everton down to 10 men got level and made attacking changes to win the game.
Moyes winning 3-1 goes full park the bus at home against Brighton with a bus that’s done 900,000 miles and ends up almost losing the game

Ancelotti would’ve gone nowhere near West Ham. Neither would anyone with any career ambitions at this point in time. Owners have destroyed the clubs reputation for people like that

I distinctly remember being hounded by our fans for suggesting we should have gone for Ancelotti. Some of them really are clueless.

Or when you have a bit of nerve. I wouldn’t have sacked Bilic let alone Pellegrini. I believe both would have turned things round better than Moyes.

It’s amazing the difference the manager makes. These are the same players , same injury list at both sides !. Lfc dont have the best players, they have the best manager creating the best team.

We showed ambition getting in Pellegrini … look where that got us !!!

The Irons are clearly frustrated at their position, and should they stay up serious changes will need to be made.
Simple-minded comparison being made. Everton have better players (and a better budget to build a better team). Some need of intelligence here!
Clueless comparison. Everton had a better squad than West Ham that wasnt playing for a poor manager. West Ham have a mediocre squad that wasn’t playing for a good manager. Now they are a mediocre squad playing half-hearted for a mediocre manager. Evertons problem was the manager…West Hams is the players.
