These West Ham United fans have been showering Diafra Sakho with praise after the club placed him in the limelight on Tuesday.
The Hammers’ official Twitter account posted footage of his stunning chip during our stunning 3-1 victory against Liverpool back in 2014, where he dinked the ball beautifully over the rooted Simon Mignolet in between the Reds’ sticks.
Was Diafra Sakho a success for West Ham?
Yes
No
Sakho had only joined the club a month before this game after putting pen to paper on a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
The 30-year-old, who is now a free agent, went on to score 24 goals and provide four assists from 71 appearances for the club over the course of four seasons in East London.
With this in mind, supporters hailed Sakho and made their feelings clear about him on social media. One fan said that he was our “best loan striker”, while another labelled him as a “world-beater” and “phenomenal”.
Our best loan striker.😍⚒

@iamdiafrasakho and @EnnerValencia14 were on their day phenomenal! Those first few games were great to watch. That could have been 30-40 goal a season partnership. 🤷🏻♂️
