“Great just what we need, another player with zero pace” – A lot of West Ham fans have not reacted well to rumours linking them with Nemanja Matic.
A report by 90min.com has claimed that the Hammers are keen on signing the 31-year-old – who has three Premier League medals from his time with rivals Chelsea.
Matic is out of favor at Manchester United and is worried that his lack of game time will affect his chances of playing for his country in Euro 2020.
The Serbian international is on around £120k per week and would be willing to move to East London.
Do you want West Ham to sign Matic?
No, well past his best
Yes, could be a useful addition
This would be an odd signing for West Ham as Matic has looked past it for the last few years, and in a team that is lacking midfield drive, there are many better options out there.
Certainly, these Hammers fans do not want to sign Matic.

shambles of a signing. The guy was finished at CFC now he’s older and slower. If our tight owners think this is remotely a good deal, esp on those wages, they’re out of this world clueless. Only a young, dynamic, pacey player will improve our squad. Anything else is pointless

Please no, for the love of God

The drive to make this squad the slowest that has ever played the game is taking great shape.

Many West Ham supporters think Matic is not good enough and do not want him at the club.
This signing & link sounds like a Husillos/Pellegrini type doesn’t it?
Typical unimaginative “name” on bloated wages & coming to the end of his career.
We are better promoting from within than wasting money on but having said that we have saved 750k a week on wages previously

If it was a Husillos/Pellegrini signing we wouldn’t be hearing about it from C&H at the beginning of Nov. It’s a typical Sullivan “everybody look I gave him a PL winning player, I’ve done my job!” type of signing. Expect more high profile rumours in the next couple of weeks.

Other Irons fans think that this would be a typical “West Ham signing” and want the board to look elsewhere.
