Some West Ham United fans were fuming at the Premier League after the latest report suggested that they could impose devastating sanctions on those that go against their latest proposed decision.
According to the Daily Mail, those teams that vote against ‘Project Restart’ could find themselves relegated if they continue to be obstructive.
Norwich City, Aston Villa and Bournemouth are the sides that are currently in the relegation zone before football was suspended, with the Hammers and Watford level on points with the Cherries.
Will West Ham get relegated this season?
Yes
No
The report added that there was no formal vote at next Monday’s meeting but any sides that vote against any further proposals will see the following meetings adjourned.
Unsurprisingly, supporters were not impressed with the Premier League’s alleged threats and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that this “just sums it up”, while another described it as a “disgrace”.
Just about sums it up, gonna lose a vote, gonna lose money let’s revert to threats. Unbelievable.

Rubbish. They wouldn’t want the cases going to court.
