Many West Ham United fans have been reflecting on what might have been for Ravel Morrison.
The 27-year-old now plays his football for Middlesbrough after his short stint at Upton Park between 2012 and 2015, with three loan spells at Birmingham City, Queens Park Rangers and Cardiff City in between.
During that time, Morrison only scored five goals and provided two assists in 24 appearances for us, while scoring once for the U23s.
Was Ravel Morrison's time at West Ham a success?
Yes
No
COYIrons shared footage of our 3-0 victory against Tottenham at White Hart Lane back in 2013 on Twitter, with Morrison scoring a stunning solo goal that sealed the three points.
His former teammate at Manchester United Wayne Rooney said that he was better than Paul Pogba, and that lifestyle choice got in the way in what could have been a glittering and successful career.
Because of this, supporters were in a reflective mood looking back on Morrison’s career and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan described it as a “sad reflection of what might have been “.
That goal , incredible as it was is a sad reflection of what might have been . I hope he has found happiness and fulfilment in Mexico .

Great goal by Rav. A real shame he never got his head in the right place. Could have been something special! A case of real potential missed!

I’ll always smile at the memory of @morrisonravel in a West Ham shirt, what could of been but we got the best of his career. Clearly God given gifts but something not right between the ears. https://t.co/GiilEWOY5h
