After the harrowing events of Saturday evening, the Hammers will be trying to regain a sense of normality when they welcome Tottenham Hotspur, to the London Stadium, for a Carabao Cup tie.

The tie scheduled to be played on Wednesday evening gives the Hammers the chance to exact revenge for the recent defeat inflicted upon them by the North London outfit in a recent Premier League fixture.

With Tottenham Hotspur having played Manchester City, on Monday evening, and having lost, the victory pendulum could just have swayed towards West Ham in this tie with Tottenham, quite probably, making numerous changes to their starting eleven.

The Carabao Cup is one of two competitions, the FA Cup being the other, that could see Manuel Pellegrini lead us to a trophy, as long as good fortune remains on our side.

I’m taking the Hammers to win this tie, thereby ending a run of poor recent results, but what is your view on the outcome of the game?

  • We have a good chance, but we have enough injuries ourselves and the manager will probably give some of our youngster’s a run out. Probably be a tight game and hopefully we can nick it, by the odd goal. COYI

Deepest sympathy to Leicester football club, its supporter’s and the family of the deceased chairmen. He seemed like a very good bloke and will be much missed in UK football. RIP
