It’s been a disappointing few days for West Ham, but the club have been able to deliver some good news that should help cheer fans up. Indeed, as per the official West Ham website, 20-year-old goalkeeper Nathan Trott has agreed fresh terms at the London Stadium.
Having been training with the first team squad for a while now, the club clearly feel as though he’s talented enough to remain with us for a few years, despite having not played for the club first team so far.
He’s been a regular in the developmental teams so far this term, notably the under-23s, and so the next logical step for him is the first team.
Of course, he’s got little chance of making it past Lukas Fabianski for the time being, but given that he’s 33-years-old, he isn’t a long-term solution for the Hammers.
So, perhaps the club think that Trott could be the long-term replacement for our veteran shot-stopper. He’s got a lot of development to do to reach that level, but he’s got every chance.
Naturally, lots of West Ham fans are pretty pleased with the news that he’s agreed fresh terms. See below:
Congratulations Nathan we look forward to seeing you in the first team very soon

Congratulations mate. Seen you play a couple of times and was very impressed.
One save in particular away to Wycombe in the checkatrade was outstanding.
