West Ham United fans have been very vocal on social media again and they have been reacting to the latest news shared by ExWHUemployee.

The recent update offered by the club insider comes in relation to our pre-season plans for next term, and focus on the Hammers participating in the 2019 Asia Trophy, meaning we will be jetting off to China to face Manchester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United.

If Wolves beat us to seventh place and the spot opens a door into Europe, any clash with the Molineux outfit will have a little more bite than a friendly against a lower league team at home or abroad.

Our participation will also see West Ham benefit from the commercial value of being involved in the tournament, which Ex is noting as a deciding factor to the club accepting the invite despite Manuel Pellegrini showing early hesitations.

The biennial tournament is set to be held in Shanghai this year, and is continuing to strengthen supporter groups for any club who compete over in the Far East, but that is not what these fans had to say on social media.
