‘100% good enough’: Some West Ham fans want ‘bargain’ at the club as ‘he’d thrive in our side’

|

West Ham United fan account West Ham Social tweeted a post regarding Salomon Rondon’s stats for Newcastle United last season and it would seem fans were all in agreement that he would be a good addition for them this summer.

The West Bromwich Albion forward has been heavily linked with a move to the London Stadium throughout the summer and it is believed we have already had a bid rejected by the club now managed by former Hammer Slaven Bilic.

We are expected to refresh our attempts in signing the Venezuela international once again as The Mirror suggests he is high up on our list of targets – a deal of £12million plus bonuses is being touted but whether that is accepted remains to be seen.

Obviously in need of a striker this summer, Rondon could be the addition we need ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign – he did net 11 goals and provide seven assists in his 32 top-flight appearances for Newcastle last season (Transfermarkt).

Add that to the fact that he knows Manuel Pellegrini and Mario Husillos really well already from their days together at Malaga, West Ham could be on to a winner if they were able to land the 29-year-old’s signature.

Indeed, that would also appear to be the same opinion as the fans on social media as many of them have been reacting positively to the idea of seeing Rondon as a Hammer in the future.

Some of them commented on West Ham Social‘s post by saying he was ‘100% good enough’ whilst others have told the club to get a deal done as it would be a ‘bargain’.

Here are just some of those reactions…
