The east London side were drawn with Oxford United in the third round of the League Cup. A seemingly uninteresting tie on the face of it, but it becomes a lot more interesting once you realise the League One team eliminated Millwall on penalties to set up the game with West Ham.
As expected, plenty of West Ham supporters were furious on missing out on the possibility of playing their arch-rivals for the first time in seven years, and fans took to social media to complain.
