The Hammers midfielder was named in Gareth Southgate’s squad for England’s September international fixtures, with Rice being the only West Ham player to be announced in the team.
With Rice keeping his place in the Three Lions squad despite the emergence of other players in his position, plenty of West Ham fans were delighted to see their 20-year-old star lock down his spot for England, and some took to social media to congratulate and praise the youngster.
