The flamboyant Premier League official dismissed Hammers left-back Arthur Masuaku for a second bookable offence in the second-half of West Ham’s 0-0 draw with Aston Villa despite TV video replays showing that the French-born defender had hardly fouled Ahmed Elmohamady, and that the Egyptian fullback had gone down easily.
As expected, Hammers fans on social media were fuming with the decision and took to Twitter to rage at Dean’s decision to send off Masuaku.
