Some West Ham United fans have slammed former Hammer Ravel Morrison after his career was reflected on.
The 27-year-old spent three years at Upton Park and went on loan three times while on the books in East London, having only scored five goals in 24 appearances for us.
He was sent to Birmingham City, Queens Park Rangers and Cardiff City. Combined, he only managed to find the net nine times for all three clubs.
Was Ravel Morrison's time at West Ham a success?
Yes
No
Having made the move from Manchester United in 2012, his former Red Devils’ teammate Wayne Rooney wrote in the Sunday Times that he was “miles better” than Paul Pogba, only for his lifestyle and the environment around him that let him down.
Because of this, supporters had no sympathy for Morrison and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he was the “ultimate waste of natural talent”, while another described him as “weak and unprofessional”.
Absolute waste but if fergie couldn’t control him you kinda knew what was coming!

Ravel Morrison is the ultimate waste of natural talent – at West Ham he was one of the most naturally gifted and skillful English players to have been at the club for several generations; Joe Cole was, arguably, on par. Morrison could have, and should, been the next big thing

This boy could have gone to the very top, wasted his talent unfortunately

It’ sad, people cope in different ways. Mentally he was weak and unprofessional which ultimately cost him a promising career
