Manuel Pellegrini has very little options when it comes to the goalkeeping department. The Hammers may have got David Martin as a third choice for when both Lukasz Fabianski and Roberto are out, but with Fabianski out, it’s Roberto starting even if the fans don’t like it.
Pellegrini: “Every player when they are in a bad moment needs the confidence of us behind them. Roberto has a lot of experience in a lot of countries. He knows it’s not his best performance in the last game.” #COYI #WHU pic.twitter.com/GKZ9mQ69rU

However, the Spaniard has proven that he cannot catch a cold, and his recent performance against Burnley, where he comically punched the ball into his own net for the Clarets’ third goal of the game, proved that he isn’t up to it, although Pellegrini is standing by him.
Ahead of facing Tottenham tomorrow, the Chilean tactician has called for the Hammers to get behind their stand-in shot-stopper, although these comments haven’t led to much support for Roberto at all, if anything they’ve just brought more condemnation upon Pellegrini as well as on their goalkeeper.
Do you back Lanzini and Fabianski to save our season?
Yes
No

I read that as: I’m a stubborn old dinosaur and I will play my mate until we get Fab back even though he’s been utter shit in lots of countries.

He has made mistakes leading to goals in every single game he has played in!!! Seriously, if he starts on Saturday, Pelle should be sacked for that alone!

The fans have no intentions of getting behind Roberto and are just desperate for Fabianski to return.
