With West Ham vs Spurs kicking off the Premier League weekend tomorrow, the Hammers have had a chance to look back over some of their more recent goals and results against the Lilywhites, and when picking out the best goals in this fixture, Pedro Obiang’s is right up there.
Goals against Spurs don't get much better than this. Absolute rocket. pic.twitter.com/TIWXEPCyEY

The now ex-West Ham midfielder was at his best when the Irons travelled to face Tottenham at their temporary home, Wembley Stadium, in early 2018. In a 1-1 draw between the sides, Obiang scored a goal of the ages, rifling one into the top corner from 35 yards and sending the Irons into dreamland.
That goal made it 1-0 and whilst Heung-Min Son would fire back with a stunning strike of his own, it was all bout Obiang. However, as some fans have taken the opportunity to marvel at the goal, others have been quick to remind themselves that Obiang has now gone and has been replaced by the shambolic Carlos Sanchez.
Will West Ham beat Spurs?
Yes, It is the perfect time to play them
No, they will have too much for us

Knew what that was without even looking

Score and win the game. This is all we want from the millionaires on the pitch this weekend.

Still can’t believe that actually happened.

Still cannot believe we sold him and didn’t replace him. That is the owners for you.

Shame we sold him for a pittance and replaced him with a 32 yr old Donkey – so West Ham unfortunately

The Hammers would love to see a similarly good goal to Obiang’s strike tomorrow, although who knows who it might come from.
