“Sign him permanently”, “Breath of fresh air” – These West Ham fans sing praises of 25 y/o ace

Plenty of West Ham United fans heaped praise on Hammers’ midfielder Tomas Soucek as the Premier League’s return edges closer.

The Czech Republic international was pictured by the club’s official account during a practice match at the London Stadium on Sunday, as we continued our preparations towards our first game back against Wolves on 20th June.

Soucek has had an impressive start to life in East London following his loan move from his homeland club Slavia Prague in January and has wowed the fans with his contributions.

Hammers, would you snap up Soucek on a permanent deal if it meant no more summer spending?

In a heartbeat

We have to consider our options

So far, the 25-year-old has only played four games and 231 minutes in the claret and blue, with a lot more to come, hopefully. After only recently arriving with us, it is unclear whether he will get an opportunity to start in the midfield following the long lay off.

With this in mind, supporters were fairly complimentary towards Soucek and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that we should “sign him permanently”, while another described him as a “breath of fresh air”.
