Winston Reid has got to be one of the unluckiest players in the Premier League when it comes to the injuries that the New Zealander keeps suffering. The centre-back hasn’t played 90 minutes of football since January 7th 2018.

In fact, the defender, at the age of just 31-years-old, hasn’t played a single minute of football since the 2017/18 season, and whilst he’s still not that old for a centre-back in today’s game, the writing looks to be on the wall in terms of his career.
It’s highly unfortunate for the player himself, and the fans are equally gutted that their former Hammer of the Year is still out, as he’s now reportedly suffered yet another injury setback, setting back his return date even further as we approach two years since he last played 90 minutes.

But tbf hope he recovers and can get back out on the pitch

Ah man! I was hoping that we might see a mini comeback before retirement. Looking less and less likely now but still hoping. Shame to see this happen to a fine servant to our club.

The Irons are all gutted for Reid, with some of them suggesting retirement or selling him as a result of his horrendous luck.
