Manuel Lanzini has only just returned to action at the London Stadium, but the 26-year-old has been recalled to Argentina’s national squad and fans are all saying the same thing.
It will be the creative midfielder’s first call-up to the national side since he suffered his knee ligament injury that forced him out of the 2018 World Cup and led to eight months on the sidelines.
New Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni has also been able to recall Lionel Messi to his side following his exodus from international duty since the tournament in Russia, while Premier League regulars Juan Foyth, Nicolas Otamendi, and Roberto Pereyra are also included.

Lanzini’s first chance to earn a 5th cap in Argentina colours will come on March 22 against Venezuela at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano stadium, before flying to Gibraltar to face Morocco.
Given he missed eight months of action and has only just returned to first team action, these fans will be forgiven for their instant concerns at an international recall…
