Manuel Pellegrini’s West Ham were in real trouble under the Chilean got a big win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on the weekend, but having got all three points against the Blues it seems the Chilean has got a new bout of confidence.
Pellegrini started the press conference by asking Sky if he was still favourite for the sack, by the way. https://t.co/ggIID3qB2R

As the former Real Madrid and Manchester City manager walked into his pre-Wolves press conference the first thing he asked was whether or not he was still the favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked, and it’s certainly a bold move from the West Ham man.
There is no doubting that Pellegrini was under an awful lot of pressure. His time at West Ham could well have been over had he not got a result at Stamford Bridge, and whilst going in hard and asking for the odds on his own sacking may not be the smartest move, the fans certainly liked it.
Should Manuel Pellegrini be backed or sacked?
Backed!
Sacked!

Good for him. Been through it and shows a sense of humour. I hope he succeeds and proves the doubters wrong. Honestly thought he’d be gone had we lost.

The Irons may well end up parting ways with Pellegrini before the end of the season, but for now, he’s still in charge and the fans loved his comment pre-Wolves.
