West Ham’s tough time in the Premier League continued on Saturday as the Hammers suffered a seventh defeat in 13 matches, losing 4-0 to Manchester City.
A loss at the hands of Pep Guardiola’s title favourites was not a surprising result and the performance from West Ham was not reflected in the scoreline, as the Hammers created a number of opportunities in attack but failed to take them.
In the end, a mixture of poor defending at times and an inability to finish moves off in the final third resulted in a loss for Manuel Pellegrini against his former employers – but there was some positives to take from the performance.
Michail Antonio believes the same as he stated after the game that the result did not show the way West Ham played and he was met with responses from fans who believed the same, while others took the opportunity to praise the 28-year-old for his efforts.

Why oh why is there so much negative posts. We played one of the best Teams in Europe with players that we can dream about wearing claret and blue. We need to get behind the whole club and stop expecting miracles because they don’t happen over night.
