Many West Ham United fans were full of praise for midfielder Jarrod Bowen despite their 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday.
The Hammers extended their poor run and have only picked up two wins from 13 games in all competitions following this latest setback.
An unfortunate own goal from Tomas Soucek and a late finish from Harry Kane condemned David Moyes’ side to their second straight defeat following their return to Premier League action.
Is Jarrod Bowen one of the first names on Moyes' teamsheet?
Yes
No
During the 90 minutes, he managed to get two shots on goal, won 10 duels, completed two key passes and completed 100% of his tackles, as per Fotmob. An all-round performance.
With this in mind, supporters were full of praise for Bowen and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he “looked sharp” and that he is “everything right about a player”, while another described him as “outstanding”.
Bowen is everything right about a player. Everyone else (except Rice) not so much. #whufc #coyi #westham

Rice has been outstanding, Bowen has been class, Antonio as good as he can do as a lone striker, Fredericks looked decent too! #TOTWHU #WHUFC #COYI

Too many ‘luxury’ players at #WHUFC who actually redefine the word as ‘shite’. Anderson, Lanzini, Fornals all dreadful. Bowen will serve us well in the Championship next season though.
