West Ham endured a slow start to life under Manuel Pellegrini but seem to have turned a corner this month, securing three consecutive victories to shoot up the Premier League standings.
Wins against Newcastle United, Cardiff City and Crystal Palace have given the Hammers the perfect start to the busy festive period and a time when the fixture schedule hands them a run of winnable games – which could lead to an extension of their current form.
Pellegrini has certainly been pleased with what he has seen from his side in recent weeks and was quick to identify how West Ham have improved since the start of the season, stating that his side would be sixth, and just one point behind Chelsea, if you eliminate the first four games from the equation.
Football obviously does not work like that but many fans got the point he was making and stated they were delighted with the progress their side has made. We have gathered some of their comments below.
