West Ham supporters have long taken issue with the way that their board and the hierarchy have gone about running the club and aren’t at all happy with what they perceive to be a lack of investment over the years, leading to a lot of protests.

One of those protests happened during the club’s 3-0 loss to Burnley at The London Stadium back in March 2018, and a lot of the fans don’t want to see another protest happen because they frowned upon the protest, that saw Mark Noble have an altercation with a fan and another supporter hold a corner aloft in the centre circle of the pitch.
Those scenes, that you can remind yourself about by reading the BBC’s article after that Burnley game, are scenes that the supporters will not want to see repeated, and if that means quashing any potential protests and opposing fan organised events, then that’s what they’ll do.
Have the board invested enough in the last few seasons?
Yes
No
You can read the Hammers’ thoughts on a potential protest here:
I will not be joining you thanks, things like this are the problem with our club, not just the owners. Never been embarrassed to be a West Ham fan but the actions of groups like this and the happenings at the Burnley game last season, have ran me very close.

Problem is that our fan base is divided!
You’ve got the new batch of season ticket holders who r just happy to be part of something new who never ever went to UP that sit eating popcorn not singing & the old guard that expect us to challenge top 6, hence why we left UP!— PDJ (@Patrickj1976) November 13, 2019
Like the last one that the organisers got paid off not to throw

Can I hold the corner flag

The fans seem to be wholly against a protest and will hope that the rest of the supporters won’t let them down.
