West Ham suffered their seventh defeat in 13 Premier League matches on Saturday after being swept aside by title favourites Manchester City at the London Stadium.
Pep Guardiola’s side strolled to a 4-0 victory in East London, although the scoreline does not tell the full story as West Ham put plenty of focus into their attacking play and created a number of decent openings – although they were unable to capitalize.
That at least provides some positives as the Hammers head into a more favourable run of fixtures over the course of the coming weeks and it seems that one player has won other sections of the fanbase for his latest display.
Michail Antonio has often found himself as the scapegoat in the eyes of West Ham fans this season, who regularly call for him to be axed by the side and sold in January, but he impressed some with his display against the Citizens.

Thought Michail Antonio had the best game he's had in a while, today. Strong, attacking, tracking back. Not perfect by any means but showing signs of Antonio from a few seasons back #coyi

Aaron Cresswell and Michail Antonio both played very well today in my opinion.

Before anyone says “we were much better second half” that’s only because City played in neutral for it lol.
Only positive I take is Pellegrini likes to attack and Antonio played well imo, we need to get the results in the upcoming games n I see no reason why we won’t. #coyi
