Plenty of West Ham United fans heaped praise on forward Michail Antonion following his side’s 2-2 draw against Newcastle United on Sunday.
The Hammers will be kicking themselves over an opportunity missed having taken the lead twice in the encounter, but were unable to hit the final nail into the Magpies’ coffin.
Antonio gave David Moyes’ side the lead after four minutes but it was cancelled out my Miguel Almiron before half-time. After Tomas Soucek regained the lead for West Ham, it took just over 80 seconds for Jonjo Shelvey to reply and the visitors were unable to knock down Newcastle’s defence.

As well as getting on the scoresheet, Antonio managed to get two shots on target and won four aerial duels, playing a significant part in the Hammers’ attacking play, as per Sofascore.
Unsurprisingly, supporters were delighted with Antonio’s outing and made their feelings clear on social media. Several fans used words to describe him in a nutshell. Some of the best were “engine”, “beast” and “tank”.
