Over the years West Ham fans have had some seriously talented international stars turning out for them in the Premier League and old First Division, but as far as the Hammers are concerned, none will come close to the talents of their ex-skipper and England legend, Bobby Moore.
The Greatest.

It was on this day way back in 1973 that the West Ham legend made his 100th appearance for the Three Lions, and 47 years later the fans are still paying tribute to what a wonderful player the defender was for both club and country.
Moore is a massive part of the Hammers’ history, and he was one of the Irons’ three stars who lifted the World Cup way back in 1966, something that neither the country and especially not West Ham, will ever forget for his talents on the pitch and his manner off of it.
Is Bobby Moore West Ham's greatest ever?
Yes

The Irons will always hold Moore in high regard, and no matter who comes through the club it’s unlikely any will match the achievements of the legendary #6.
