West Ham transfer report backs up claims 13-goal ace will be on the move

Rumours connecting the Hammers and Edin Dzeko refuse to go away, and now Sky Sports understand the Bosnia-Herzegovina captain has been offered to us.

The two-time Premier League winner is nearing the final year of his contract with AS Roma, and has been endlessly linked with a move to the London Stadium by the Italian press.

Sky Sports’ sources now corroborating the story, that Dzeko may find himself surplus to requirements, would suggest the 13-goal ace will surely be on the move this summer, and backs up claims that the Giallorossi are searching for his replacement.

However, what Sky Sports do not mention is how much Roma are asking for. The price in Italy for the 33-year-old has varied of late, with original claims of a €25million (£21.7m) fee now understood to be invalid.

Corriere dello Sport mentioned in their Rome edition on Monday that the Giallorossi are now only aiming to bank €15million (£13m) for Dzeko, despite the striker’s wishes of earning a new contract.

Roma Sporting Director Frederic Massara also reportedly intends to request owner James Pallotta extends Dzeko’s contract at the Stadio Olimpico when the two meet at an upcoming summit.

If Massara does not get his wish, though, Dzeko could find himself reconnecting with Manuel Pellegrini, whom under he scored 32 goals in 80 games.
