West Ham prepare fresh raid for 11-goal target – report

|

West Ham are preparing to make an offer to West Bromwich Albion for Salomón Rondón, according to Football League World and Football Insider.

The Hammers have already had one bid rejected by the Baggies, as reported by Daily Mirror, with the previous offer being £10 million plus Jordan Hugill and Sam Byram.

Football Insider reported that the Hammers are offering to pay £14 million for the Venezuelan, while Football League World have added that Byram could once again be used in an attempt to get the deal completed.

West Ham have been on the search for a new striker throughout the transfer window, with Rondón being among the Hammers’ top targets, as reported by ExWHUEmployee – after he scored 11 Premier League goals and assisted seven times in 30 starts and two substitute appearances while on loan at Newcastle United last season.

Sam Byram played under Slaven Bilić at West Ham, so may be someone the Croatian manager is interested in bringing in, as he looks to get West Brom back in the Premier League.

Rondón has a £16.5million release clause, so if this proposal is turned down West Ham may be tempted to pay the fee, as Manuel Pellegrini has a desire to be reunited with the Venezuelan – who he managed at Málaga.
