West Ham’s recent form has caused concern for many as the club has fallen down the Premier League table in recent weeks as they currently occupy 17th place and are just three points from the relegation zone.
With tensions rising, pressure has grown on manager Manuel Pellegrini and the players, who the fans feel are under-performing this season.
The club has been in similar positions before which has led to angry protests. In 2018, fans ran on to the pitch at the London Stadium as the club suffered a 3-0 loss to Burnely with Mark Noble pushing one fan to the ground and another fan picking up the corner flag and running to the centre circle.
Even though the current situation can be improved as it’s still early in the season, some West Ham fans are in agreement that action is needed to show their frustrations.

Although some feel another protest is imminent at the London Stadium, others have opposed people running on to the pitch in protest, while others have chosen to stay away from the ‘toxic’ atmosphere around the club.
There’s a way to do it. Running on the pitch like last time was not right, I’m all for protesting if it’s needed but I was embarrassed that day was the wrong way to do it. IMO of course!

Another loss this Saturday against London rivals Chelsea could be disastrous for the club and West Ham fans will rightly be aggrieved at their club’s start to the season. If the team doesn’t get a result in their next two away fixtures, the home game against Arsenal in two weeks’ time could be very volatile.
