West Ham haven’t had the easiest few years, but under Manuel Pellegrini’s managership, we appear to be on a steady path back to where we belong.
Fortunately, we’re a club with a lot of history to look back on, and that can be used to inspire future generations – and that’s exactly what a recent video that the club has shared has highlighted.
As a part of the club’s new Academy of Football Headquarters, West Ham shared a video looking back at many of the fantastic players that have made their name London with the Hammers.

Of course, recent men like Declan Rice feature prominently, but it’s an engaging insight into the foundations of our club.
It’s great to see that West Ham are embracing their history and what they’re known for. Pellegrini, significantly, is a manager that loves to focus on young talent, and so in theory, he’s perfect for the team.
With Declan Rice making his name this term, it’s got us thinking, who might be next? Ben Johnson has, of course, already made his debut – but what other young stars could be waiting in the wings?
The development of the Academy of Football HQ will only make that search easier.
