There’s been a lot to celebrate this season. It hasn’t been a perfect campaign by any means, but under Manuel Pellegrini, it’s clear that the team has been improving, whilst brilliant individual form from players like Felipe Anderson and Issa Diop also bode well for the future.

In recent weeks, though, the most exciting thing about the club has been the return of Manuel Lanzini. He’s been out of action since last year, of course, and not only did he miss the World Cup, but he also missed so much of our season.

He’s back now, though, and West Ham’s latest post on Twitter has encapsulated our emotions perfectly. Indeed, West Ham recently uploaded a short showreel of Lanzini moments alongside the caption “We’ve missed your sparkle, Manu’.

Certainly, the Argentine has been a real loss for us this term, with his creativity, direction and offensive play really serving us well during his time in London.

Now that he’s back, we’re looking forward to him linking up with players like Felipe Anderson, who looks likely to make a brilliant partnership with our returning attacker.

The future is looking bright.
