Transfer News: West Ham could be set to wave goodbye to new more starlets on EFL loan deals

|

Despite West Ham sitting dangerously close to the relegation zone this season, the Hammers have got a very good chance of staying up if they do the right business in the coming days of the transfer window. The fans would like to see a striker and a midfielder come in, but so far there are few signs of it happening.

Instead, it looks like the Irons have been more focused on allowing some of their youngsters depart the club on both loan and permanent deals, and any business that might go ahead in the last week of the window is looking more likely than ever to be departures.

With that being said, the fans will want a few incomings, and we’re not ruling out that they may happen, but the chances are that we’ll see both Dan Kemp and Anthony Scully leave the Stratford club for loan spells in the EFL before we see a goalscoring or engine room midfielder brought to the London Stadium.

The news of Scully and Kemp being set for the temporary exit door has come from ExWHUemployee on Twitter, as he’s claimed that Kemp has got an offer on the table from League Two Leyton Orient, whilst Scully could be set to face his U23s teammate in League Two with either Stevenage or Cambridge.

If the pair do make their way out of the club this month then the bonus will be that they’ll get a taste of senior football, albeit at a lower level, for the first time, and that will go a very long way towards their development, similar to what the club want for Nathan Holland, who is currently at Oxford United.

Will Moyes turn our season around?

Yes

No

The fans will undoubtedly want to see more from David Moyes and co on the transfer incomings for the senior side, but at the moment this is the news coming from the club, and whilst it’s not ideal, at least seeing some youth prospects getting senior minutes in the football league has long term benefits.
