West Ham fans were far from impressed with the performance of Carlos Sanchez against Manchester City.
After Wolves had blown away Newcastle 4-0 in the first semifinal of the PL Asia Trophy, it was time for West Ham to face Manchester City, and the Colombian midfielder had a nightmare performance in his side’s 4-1 defeat.
Sanchez is really quite poor isn’t he

The fans were quick to slam both Sanchez and Pedro Obiang after they entered the fray in the second-half, but the Colombian former Aston Villa man really took the cake when it came to showing off a midfield disaster-class.
After ambling around the middle of the park after his introduction from the bench, the man who the Hammers signed from Fiorentina last summer gave the ball away cheaply before failing to track back properly as Man City scored their fourth and final goal of the afternoon.
His error, followed by his pure laziness, had loads of Irons on Twitter seething and they’ll be desperate for Manuel Pellegrini to take the hint and either move him on or refuse to play him again. That may sound harsh, but after almost a year out injured collecting his wages, the last thing the Hammers want to see from the player is a lack of desire and shoddiness.

Absolute woeful player, who is cheating a living. Sanchez and Obiang both poor in possession and passing woeful. Don’t chase back quicker than a light jog, we have been crying out for a box to box midfielder. That and a left back should now be our priority.

Up there with Hughill in the “why on earth did we sign him” stakes. Old and had already proven he isnt good enough for the premier league at villa.

The Hammers have seen enough of Carlos Sanchez to write him off and will be keen to bring in a replacement midfielder for the Colombian after his Man City shocker.
