West Ham United fans have been reacting positively to the club’s video on their official Twitter account regarding Aaron Cresswell on Wednesday.

The Hammers were celebrating the fact that the left-back was brought to the club five years ago today after completing a move from Ipswich Town for a fee believed to be in the region of £3.75million (Sky Sports).
Brought to the club by Sam Allardyce, who had been raving about his capture as he thought he would become a truly shrewd signing in the future, he has been in and out of the team recently under Manuel Pellegrini.
A three-time England international, Cresswell has managed to clock up 179 appearances for the Claret and Blues, scoring five goals and providing 19 assists across all competitions (Transfermarkt).
Indeed, as we mentioned, it could have been more as he had been in and out of the team under Pellegrini last season, making just 22 appearances (Transfermarkt) as he continued to alternate with Arthur Masuaku.
The 29-year-old’s future at the club has been questioned recently as well, with Everton thought to have made an approach a couple of months ago for him – although that was subsequently rebuffed (Football Insider).
And, it would seem fans would be favourable to that decision if their reactions on Twitter are anything to go by.
Many of them felt Cresswell was ‘one of the most underrated players’ at the club over the last five years whilst others continued to echo the feelings that he needed to remain with us beyond the summer.
Here are just some of those reactions…
