The Spanish striker joined Arsenal and the eventually West Ham in a three-year stint in England that was underwhelming at best, with stats from Transfermarkt showing that Perez scored just 12 goals for the two Premier League sides in all competitions, yet since returning to Spain, the 30-year-old attacker has been on great form.
As stats from Transfermarkt show, Perez has managed five goals in 11 games for Alaves this season, with his strike against Atletico Madrid this week being a particular beauty as well as a goal that many West Ham fans were fuming about on social media given the quality of it.

Perez’s goal had fans questioning as to why the club had sold him…
Rated him as a 4th choice striker. We’re missing him and Hernandez in our squad this season. Oh well.. #OnwardsAndUpwards

Came on as sub to boos and mumbling from home support more than once last season. Not the first time a player has moved on and begun to prove some no nothing supporters wrong.
