Declan Rice is a figure at West Ham who the supporters absolutely adore. The young midfield man is a seriously talented player and there have already been calls for him to follow Mark Noble’s footsteps and stay at the club for an age whilst donning the captain’s armband.

Rice clearly has the charisma and the character to lead too. The club called upon him to deliver a message to the fans today, and the response from the supporters was overwhelmingly positive, with many of the Hammers flocking in the comments of the video.
The replies were filled with fans telling Rice how much if a legend he is, how much they love him and calls for him to be given the captain’s armband, and it’s fair to say that any messages the Hammers need to give to fans should be delivered by Rice given the positivity.
