Report: West Ham agree ‘terrible’ but necessary deal

Marko Arnautovic looks set to finally get what he wants and leave West Ham United this summer.

According to a report by Sky Sports, the Hammers are thought to have been forced into agreeing to a ‘terrible’ deal with a Chinese club for the sale of the Austria international.

A transfer fee of around €25million (£22.5m) is currently being touted as we look to get rid of him as soon as possible as everyone at the club allegedly wants him out following his latest antics.

“Terrible deal for us, but manager, staff and players want him out,” a source close to Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol has said.

The journalist then went on to state: “I have had another message from someone else who knows what is going on at West Ham, and it says ‘a deal is getting closer for Marko to leave €25m. We feel we have no choice but to let Marko go as it is bad for team morale if he stays.

“‘The team is the most important thing and players who want to play for a team moving in the right direction is the most important thing.'”

Although the figure is not quite what we would have been hoping for, a deal to get Arnautovic packing is what is absolutely necessary this summer.

We previously wrote an article on Vital West Ham stating that the toxic air the Arnautovic brothers bring to the air with them was no good for us moving forward and that they needed to be moved on as quickly as possible.

Although all eyes will now be on who we will bring in to replace him and solve our woes in the forward department, at least we will not have to deal with their issues any longer than necessary.
