Report suggests one of West Ham’s summer signings is firmly settled on

|

According to Football.London, West Ham are settled on trying to sign Alaves defender Guillermo Maripan and they have firmed up their interest in him.

The Hammers have had an okay season this year but inconsistency has stopped them achieving what they might feel as though they could have done with the squad in mind.

Additions are needed, though, and Maripan looks like one we could well add at centre-half.

It’s safe to assume we need additions through the middle of the pitch and it seems as though the Alaves man is certainly one the Hammers are keen on, according to the report at least.

He could be available for the pretty reasonable price of £10 million, too, and in this market that could well be a steal.

I’m all for paying a little less if the player is good enough and, though I won’t profess to know a lot about him, it does seem as though the club is keen.

We’ll soon see what happens.
