Report: Pellegrini handed triple injury boost ahead of crucial PL game

|

Mark Noble, Sebastian Haller and Felipe Anderson are all set to return to the West Ham squad this weekend as Manuel Pellegrini’s side take on Watford.

The Daily Star report that the Hammers trio are all back in full training following injuries that forced the players to miss out on last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Brighton, with the West Ham captain Noble yet to feature at all this season.

Anderson picked up an injury in the opening game of the season against Manchester City whereas club-record signing Haller got a knock in training in the build-up to last Saturday’s trip to the south coast, ruling him out of the squad for the weekend.

The injury update will come as a big relief to West Ham supporters, who are yet to see their side win a game so far this season. As well as picking up a point against Brighton, the east London side have been on the receiving end of a 5-0 thrashing by Man City in their opening game of the season.

The return of the trio was followed up by Carlos Sanchez and Andriy Yarmolenko making their comebacks to the West Ham team after the two players missed out the majority of last season due to long-term injuries, with the Colombian and Ukrainian international coming on as substitutes against Brighton.

Noble, Haller and Anderson coming back from injury means that West Ham have a fully-fit squad for the first time in months, and this will be a significant morale boost to a team looking for their first Premier League win of the season.

With Watford losing their two opening games, the Hammers stand within a good chance of getting three points on the board in a season that is playing up to be a massive one for Pellegrini’s side.
