Report: David Moyes makes decision on “future great” that will excite West Ham fans

|

West Ham United manager David Moyes has made his decision on what he intends to do with the young rising star Grady Diangana.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs after he has put in some eye-catching performances with West Bromwich Albion, who is currently playing for on loan for the duration of the 2019/20 campaign.

The likes of Celtic and Rangers have been snooping around the tricky winger looking to take him north of the border.

Moyes is in a good position to guide the Hammers away from relegation this season, which could be a huge boost for them in terms of keeping key players at the London Stadium.

According to Football Insider, the Scot is a big fan of the England U21 international and wants to keep him for next season to provide a major role for him in the first-team squad.

Should Diangana be given a chance next season?

Yes

No

The report adds that Moyes has been delighted with the progress that he has made with the Baggies and their promotion push this season and wants to reward him for his hard work.

Diangana has had an impressive campaign in the Midlands, scoring seven goals and providing five assists from 21 starts and seven outings as a substitute.

Hammers legend Joe Cole described the man as a “future great“, putting him in the same bracket as his teammate Declan Rice.

It is easy to see why Moyes is so keen to keep hold of the Englishman, having averaged a match rating in the Championship of 7.13, as well as accumulating a 78.6% pass success rate, 2.5 dribbles and 1.6 shots per game, as per Whoscored.

His attacking prowess would greatly benefit West Ham next season and give him strength in depth at the top end of the field. Moyes would be wise to keep hold of Diangana for the foreseeable future.
