‘Rat’, ‘Judas’ – These West Ham fans had a clear message in response to club post

West Ham fans have certainly got a few players that they have their gripes with, and one of those, without a doubt, is Jermain Defoe. The former West ham and Tottenham man left the Hammers for arch-rivals’ Spurs in 2004, and they’ve not forgiven him.

Now at Rangers, the 36-year-old striker has been given a real blast from the past as the Hammers have tweeted a video of the veteran hitman’s debut goal for the club in what was his first appearance off the bench as a teenager.

Its a clip that the club have posted that has not gone down at all well with the fans as a result of the way his time at the club ended with a move to Spurs. They’ve made this clear too, with plenty of the comments being far from flattering messages for the former England man.

The calls of ‘Judas’ and ‘rat’ are certainly harsh, but grudges are held for a long time in football, as you can clearly see.
