Whilst Roberto Jimenez’s recent performances for West Ham United haven’t exactly filled everyone with confidence at the London Stadium, there is still the possibility of handing the responsibility between the sticks to David Martin.
According to a report by Claret and Hugh, which has been relayed by Twitter account, West Ham News, the former Millwall shot-stopper is ‘nailed on’ to replace the dodgy Spaniard for the upcoming encounter against Tottenham Hotspur following the conclusion of the upcoming international break.
David Martin looks nailed on to start the game against Tottenham, West Ham are also working to bring in a new goalkeeper in January.

The reactions towards Martin being the replacement were slightly mixed, though, as a number of fans didn’t really know how to feel towards the idea of Alvin Martin’s offspring would fair for them. One fan even alluded to that fact by saying: “That’s no better news because although he’s Alvin Martins son he’s still useless!”
However, another supporter felt that the experienced Englishman deserved an opportunity in between the sticks and could, potentially, do a better job than the erratic Spaniard, saying: “He deserves his chance and Roberto needs to be taken out of the firing line. His head has gone.”
Roberto had an awful game against Burnley, scoring an own goal and making an error that led to a goal; whilst the defence may have questions to answer, if he weren’t to make the errors he did, then it’s only 1-0.
Here are just some of the reaction to the rumour Martin could be starting against Spurs in our upcoming showdown:
Yes but it’s because he’s West Ham and hates millwall
